Jessica Blythe, PhD, is an Associate Professor at Brock University's Environmental Sustainability Research Centre in St. Catharines. She has spent over 20 years studying ocean sustainability and the human side of environmental change. Her work focuses on ocean equity, small-scale fisheries, coastal livelihoods, climate adaptation, and marine conservation, both in Canada and around the world. Jessica is an Associate Editor at npj Ocean Sustainability and has published more than 70 peer-reviewed articles on these topics. Jessica is deeply committed to community-based stewardship, and brings that same dedication to building healthy, resilient ecosystems to her work in Niagara and beyond.
